The Duke of Rougemont (’13)
The Duke of Rougemont is a short documentary that explores the eccentric hobbies of artist, storyteller and craftsman Stacey Harris. Harris, a North Carolina native, recently completed The Boar’s Nest — a Dukes of Hazzard museum — in his backyard. His work at home as well as his day job at the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science is indicative of the unique blend of artists North Carolina has to offer. Through his story, Harris breaks down stereotypes and reinvigorates his self-proclaimed “Good Ol’ Boy” lifestyle.
The Duke of Rougemont was a finalist for Our State Magazine‘s first ever documentary film contest.
